Bed Turning Presentation
What is a Bed Turning?
It is a way to tell stories with quilts. Four presentations are on the schedule, two each day on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM on the main stage in the Brazos Center Ballroom.
Quilts are layered on a bed and then turned back one by one, revealing each quilt and allowing for a storytelling about its history, construction and significance.
We will be featuring antique and unique quilts, owned by members of the Quilt Guild. The oldest quilts were made in the mid-1880s; several date to 1920-1930s. Unique quilts may be more recent, but have a fascinating story to tell.
